English: Archibald Russell was a steel-hulled four-masted barque, built in 1905 by Scotts Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, Greenock for John Hardie & Son, Glasgow. Dimensions: length × beam × depth: 291.3 × 42.8 × 24 ft (88.7 × 13 × 7.3 m). Tonnages: 2,354 GRT, 2,181 NRT and 3,950 DWT. Equipped with two 120' long bilge keels. Rigged with royal sails over double top-gallant sails. In 1949 broken up by J.J. King & Co., Gateshead-on-Tyne.[1][2]
