Français : Sarcophage d'un couple de défunt : Combat entre les Grecs et les Amazones, Couple de défunts (couvercle)
Sur le couvercle, les visages du couple de défunts sont traités comme des portraits. La cuve représente le thème classique du combat entre Grecs et Amazones ; on reconnaît Ulysse tout à droite. Sur le côté droit de la cuve, Achille soutient Penthésilée, la reine des Amazones, dont il est tombé amoureux au moment de la tuer.
