62 East 4th Street between Second Avenue and the Bowery in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City was built in 1889 and built by Max Schroff in the Queen Anne style. It was originally the Metropolitan Assembly Rooms and included a restaurant on the ground floor, with meeting rooms above, and an apartment for the owner on the top floor. It now houses the Rod Rogers Dance Company and the Duo Multicultural Arts Center (DMAC). The facade was restored in 2009-12. It is located within the East Village/Lower East Side Historic District (Sources: "East Village/Lower East Side Historic District Designation Report" and AIA Guide to NYC (5th ed.))
