English: The building located at 515 North Washington Street in Alexandria, Virginia, was constructed in 1848 as the Mount Vernon Cotton Factory. During the Civil War it was used as a military prison. It later served as a bottling plant for Robert Portner Brewing, a factory for Express Spark Plug, and an office building for tenants including the International Association of Chiefs of Police. It was renovated into The Mill apartments in 2015.
