English: This automobile's museum placard has an incorrect year of 1897. Barré (see also the German and French Wikipedias) presented its first automobile, a vis-à-vis model with two rear seats and a very small front seat, at the 1899 Paris Salon.^[1] According to two other sources, Barré's production of cars didn't start until 1900.^[2]^[3] Since the museum's car is a full four-seater, it can't be the one presented at the 1899 Paris Salon, so this category assumes it dates from 1900.
