Error reporting for SchlurcherBot[edit]

Cat-a-lot not working on certain files[edit]

I don't know whether the bot caused it or whether it's just a very weird edit that the uploader made, but I'm talking about this type of edit: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Seattle_2011_-_Bon_Odori_064.jpg&diff=next&oldid=154010457&diffonly=1

The file is now in the Category:Bon odori and Category:Seattle Bon Odori 2011 which is a sub-category of Category:Bon odori. Cat-a-lot cannot remove the file from the parent category because the file is not being found. The parent category needs to be removed manually. The problem is that there are (or were) over 100 affected files like that in the Category:Bon odori. Nakonana (talk) 19:27, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Nakonana: . I think as per the comment in the code by @Jmabel: this is intentional and also in a wy that cat-a-lot cannot remove it from the file. So I would judge that the current status is intended and should be retained. --Schlurcher (talk) 06:31, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The error is that Category:Seattle Bon Odori should not be a subcat of Category:Bon odori. This edit is the problem. Exactly as I wrote, the former is a festival (involving quite a few aspects of Japanese culture), the latter is a specific form of dance. - Jmabel ! talk 14:27, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
