Bugs / Feature requests[edit]
Add
window.separateQPreviewbutton = 1;
to your common.js to get a seperate button.
- Gadget will be disabled automatically. -- Rillke(q?) 22:35, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
QPreview vs. AjaxPreview[edit]
Is this better than en:User:Js/ajaxPreview.js? AjaxPreview seems to be the newest version of this type of script, on Wikipedia, so I'm using that. Maybe I should use this on Wikipedia instead? If it works... --Ysangkok (talk) 20:27, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- At least the code in this one looks cleanler :-). And the wp one doesn't do intewikilinks and does not have i18n. My guess is if you do not need these features it really does not matter for you. --Dschwen (talk) 14:26, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Need QDiff[edit]
Could you make a new gadget for quickly displaying the change of editing like this so useful gadget? --百楽兎 (talk) 15:22, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
Broken[edit]
When I enable this, my preview button no longer works. Rocket000 (talk) 18:51, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Right now it only works with vector (jQuery dependance)--DieBuche (talk) 18:27, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- It's still broken for me (using Vector). When I click Quick Preview all I get is the page jumping to the top ("#" is loaded). --Slomox (talk) 13:04, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Redundant ?[edit]
There's a "Use live preview (requires JavaScript) (experimental)" option in the Special:Preferences which provides this functionality from the core. Is there anything this gadget adds? –Krinkletalk 22:51, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

- I dare to insert code that will automatically switch to the built-in code. So MediaWiki devs are now responsible and hopefully, you will improve it :-) And we can get rid of one messing-with-the-ui-gadget. -- Rillke(q?) 22:08, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- Done - This will also fix the bug with the missing edit summary as currently mentioned on Village Pump. Now we can look how the number of users of this gadget is dropping. -- Rillke(q?) 22:33, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- There are only 2 users having separateQPreviewbutton in their js. -- Rillke(q?) 22:37, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
