Identical building, different descriptions[edit]

This appears to be exactly the same building as File:Kartok gumpa - yuksam.jpg, taken a few years earlier and possibly at a different time of year. It seems to be in the middle of a remodel in the older picture, with an unpainted rail, a wooden platform in place of the spiral staircase, and electrical fittings in places occupied by electric lanterns in the more recent image. Otherwise, and apart from the banners, the buildings appear identical, right down to the other structure visible behind it. Can someone who knows the difference somehow reconcile these?

I posted this to both places, and to the related Wikipedia article, to maximize visibility. 192.91.171.42 22:48, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not Dubdi Monastery[edit]

This file is not Dubdi Monastery, which is 1 mile from Yuksom, Sikkim. It appears to be Katok Monastery, which is in Yuksom, Sikkim. Unfortunately this picture appears on the Dubdi Monastery Wikipedia page, and is incorrect there, too, and shows in google searches, and various other places online. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CharmandStrange (talk • contribs) 00:26, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
