ROC and PRC, China[edit]

People's Republic of China replaced the Republic of China in 1971. If we do NOT ignore this historic fact, PRC's color should be separated from Taiwan (ROC), who became the member in 1945. -218.41.167.155 04:22, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Malaysia[edit]

should malaysia have been joined? it was separate because "The Federation of Malaya joined the United Nations on 17 September 1957. On 16 September 1963, its name was changed to Malaysia, following the admission to the new federation of Singapore, Sabah (North Borneo) and Sarawak." Serbia and Montenegro[edit]

The extra inset for Serbia and Montenegro is unnecessary, just like there's no extra inset for Sudan before South Sudan split off. Insets should only be necessary for members that stopped existing, where removing the inset would hide information about year joined (e.g. without the inset, there's no way to tell that South Yemen joined at a different time than North Yemen).
