Background[edit]

Does this image really need a solid (white) background? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 21:51, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In December 2006, I added a white background to almost all my SVGs which contained a monocolor black foreground on a blank background, since at that time the Wikimedia "RSVG" software wasn't generating a useful PNG "bKGD" chunk when it rendered SVGs to PNG, so the background showed up as a dull gray in some browser setups, as black (therefore making the whole image appear to be uniformly black) in Google image search previews, etc. etc. AnonMoos (talk) 22:06, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
