Privacy?[edit]

It is very strange that this protester's face is pixelated. Someone at a political protest, holding a political sign, in a public place has no legal or moral expectation of privacy. The whole point is to make a public statement and one has to assume the protester wants his identity known and counted. I know of no mainstream news organization that hides the identity of public protesters. For examples of news photos from the Tea Party protests, see http://news.google.com/news/search?pz=1&cf=i&ned=us&hl=en&q=tea+party&ict=ln .

Furthermore, by protecting this protester's "privacy" this way the implication is that there is something shameful or embarrassing about participating in this protest. I urge the uploader to replace this image with the unaltered original. —D Monack (talk) 06:46, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
