Query about date of image

I've been contacted by an employee of the National Library of New Zealand, the institution that is the source of the original of this image, about the date placed on this file. The employee states that the National Library record gives the date of this photograph as c1910 and that Salote Tupou III first came to Auckland to attend school while living with the Kronfeld family, in 1910 for three years, spending Christmases in Tonga. The creator of the image, Herman John Schmidt is known to have been working under his own name in Auckland from 1908. I've added the original creator of the image to the metadata but was wondering whether other editors would object if I changed the date given in the image metadata to C1910. Obviously if anyone has information supporting the creation date of 8 March 1908 I'm sure the National Library of New Zealand would be very interested. Ambrosia10 (talk) 03:18, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
