QI Nomination[edit]

I have never tried to promote or decline a QI candidate before, but I took a tour through the requirements one-by-one to try and check my understanding of the criteria using your nice image as example. I like the image very much, but going through the checklist I think there are some flaws. However, I may be too pedantic and do not want to spoil nomination for a QI by declining the nomination based on this initial assesment as I may have misunderstood something. Therefore I just mention my observations here, where you may consider them if you like.

  • Image page requirements: In my opinion the image title could have been more precise by including eg. the species taxa name and "ants" in it. I think you ought to change camaraflower to camara to meet the taxa requirements in the description. Furthermore, you could interwiki to Lantana camara in the description and add the image to that gallery to further improve the information level.
  • Motion blur: One of the ants seems to be motion blurred.

But I still wish I had taken that image!

That's it! Slaunger 05:25, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
