Unclear diagram?[edit]

What this diagram is trying to say isn't very clear; the arrows and broken arrows between the columns in the ABI in particular are confusing. It would be great to make this a bit clearer. :) Praxiphenes (talk) 23:23, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree. The diagram does not explain anything and is pretty much useless. Why are there two arrows on the lower half one stating not binary compatible and one stating binary compatible. Which one is it? What is the author trying to illustrate? Why is there a compilation layer that has both "stable API is guaranteed, source code remains portable" and "compatible ABI can be guaranteed, machine code becomes portable"? Are you saying both are possible or that only one is possible for the systemd column and the other is possible for the Siemens NX column? Also I must say the use of Siemens NX as an example is s bit suspicious. It is a closed source CAD program that I am sure is quite costly and very few people actually use it or even knows what it is ( I had to look it up). Why not just use a more common example like GIMP, Firefox or VLC? Wouldn't common, easily recognizable open source software make more sense? 47.23.29.18 18:31, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unklare fehlerhafte Grafik[edit]

Diese Grafik ist total unverständlich und wird in Firefox 36 fehlerhaft dargestellt. --82.220.1.206 07:27, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Well, the diagram is messy and unclear, but I see it correctly in Firefox 36.0.1. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 10:58, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
