Decomposition[edit]
Shouldn't the decomposition of 2001 read "0010000000000001" and not "1000000000000001"? This is per this edit request on Wikipedia. Jd22292 (talk) 18:29, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, I am about to fix it. The original is not actually wrong, it is just misleading in that it omits the first two leading zeros. Johnuniq (talk) 01:10, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- Total confusion. I'm sure I uploaded the fixed file, and indeed the original file link shows the leading zeros. But File:Ipv6 address.svg does not show a change, and the page history shows "(0)" for the number of bytes change, although I do not know if that value would show the image difference.
- More confusion is that checking some other IP articles shows there is an alternate version of this image already, see File:Ipv6 address leading zeros.svg. I'll have to leave this for now. Johnuniq (talk) 01:29, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
