Decomposition[edit]

Shouldn't the decomposition of 2001 read "0010000000000001" and not "1000000000000001"? This is per this edit request on Wikipedia. Jd22292 (talk) 18:29, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I am about to fix it. The original is not actually wrong, it is just misleading in that it omits the first two leading zeros. Johnuniq (talk) 01:10, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Total confusion. I'm sure I uploaded the fixed file, and indeed the original file link shows the leading zeros. But File:Ipv6 address.svg does not show a change, and the page history shows "(0)" for the number of bytes change, although I do not know if that value would show the image difference.
More confusion is that checking some other IP articles shows there is an alternate version of this image already, see File:Ipv6 address leading zeros.svg. I'll have to leave this for now. Johnuniq (talk) 01:29, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
