Looking up the source for "Rusty the dog"[edit]

You can see the image at these websites science.nasa.gov (enlarge) and ipac.caltech.edu ("Infrared Zooo"). Rusty is also here on another IR image. --Mattes (talk) 13:55, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The inscription in the image states "NASA/IPAC". What is IPAC?

IPAC is NASA's multi-mission center of science, data and operations expertise for long-wavelength astrophysics and exoplanet science. It is part of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA, and maintains close relations with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. IPAC supports large astrophysics programs and their user communities as a science center; carries out challenging data processing tasks to maximize the science return from the these programs; develops and maintains data archives, access and analysis tools; offers scientific and technical expertise on various projects to investigators; and conducts education and outreach efforts to the general public.

I think, a NASA template is the right one to source the file. --Mattes (talk) 13:55, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
