The Latin here is grammatically very screwy. Current is in the future tense, so the translation is closer to "The Romans will run with this pen..." I just imagine a thousand Romans running, holding ballpoints, tripping and stabbing themselves. And calamo refers specifically to a literal pen. --64.231.96.118 23:54, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
