This animation should have a static fallback image like the ones shown above, but none seems to be available that uses the style and dimensions of the source images of this animation.

The animation should be running at a speed of 50 ms or 100 ms per year, but it appears to me much slower. Other animated maps use 200 ms per stage which skews the chronological development.

There could be a time scale in the Atlantic Ocean which would change for every year, but this would probably enlarge the file size by quite a bit. — Christoph Päper 12:07, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
