back than the school buses in quebec were written in 'school bus' at the top of the bus. but know it is a bit different beacause of what rene leveque did with his speach the changed the industry of quebec. he invented his slogan 'ces't le temps que ca change' which means:'it's the time that it changes' in french. this happended in the early 1970's that changed everything because this man made quebec more french AND almost more french than france even when they lost from the votes of the citizens to make quebec its own french country. like the STOP sign in quebec are written in arret which means stop in english. but in france they use stop the same as all the other provinces in canada. so quebecs school buses are know written in ecolier on the top in stead of school bus. and the stop on the side of newer models are written in 'arret' instead of 'STOP'. but the older models of bus are still written in stop because it would cost the government too much to replace the stop signs to arrert because they would have to deal with the lights... and still some signs in montreal especially are still written in arret on the top and stop at the bottom. that is what the government of quebec is trying to do is to replace the school bus signs with ecoliers and the stop sign located on the side of the bus with 'arret'.
