Is this really Rumex acetosa?[edit]

The plant doesn't look to me like a Rumex species. There's something different about the venation, but also the leaves are very hairy, but Flora of North America says Rumex acetosa is glabrous (hairless) or nearly so. (I don't know a Rumex species that is so hairy on the leaf blades.) It looks to me more like something in the borage family (Boraginaceae), though I don't know what species. — Eru·tuon 21:25, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to review the determination in the image but I'm also going to go back to the site to take a sample. Thank you for your comment... Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:23, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
