Summary[edit]

Description
English: From Gerzon's building a view of the city in a southeasterly direction. In the foreground the Blaak with trams and other traffic. At the bottom right, people are sunbathing and swimming in and around the part of the Leuvehaven that is to be filled. Excavation work is taking place at the Wijnhaven. The street in the middle towards the Regentessebrug is Posthoornsteeg. There are concrete posts on the former site of the Lutheran church. Year: 1942.
Nederlands: Vanaf het pand van Gerzon een blik op de stad in zuidoostelijke richting. Op de voorgrond de Blaak met trams en ander verkeer. Rechtsonder zonnen en zwemmen mensen in en rond het te dempen deel van de Leuvehaven. Bij de Wijnhaven vinden afgravingswerkzaamheden plaats. De straat in het midden richting de Regentessebrug is de Posthoornsteeg. Op de vroegere plaats van de Lutherse kerk liggen betonpalen. Jaar: 1942.
