| Description |
English: If you were planning a wedding, and you were the groom, you would have to present 42 yams to the family of the bride. You would buy a whole stack of the best yams, otherwise you and your people will be scorned when you turn up at the wedding. You'll get a good telling off for presenting scrawny cheap yams. My family live in Lagos, but they sent for yams from Akim Market in Calabar for my brother's wedding. I bought them, bagged them and sent them by night bus to Lagos. Igbo: Ọ bụrụ na ị na-eme atụmatụ agbamakwụkwọ, ma ị bụ nwoke na-alụ nwanyị ọhụrụ, ị ga-ebuga yams 42 nye ezinụlọ nke nwanyị a na-alụ ọhụrụ.
