Description
Español: El edificio del Yacht Club, que sugiere el puente de un barco, fue declarado Patrimonio Histórico Cultural, en 1997, por tener un perfil de los mejores exponentes del "art decó". Inaugurado en 1939 cuenta con 8 pisos de altura y todas las comodidades que un navegante puede pretender, como un buen bar con restaurante para después de una jornada de navegación, una boutique náutica muy completa, un cómodo vestuario, sala de gimnasia y musculación e incluso dos pisos del edificio destinados a hotel, para nautas de recalada en el puerto y eventos deportivos.

El edificio Panamericano fue construido por Raúl Sichero Ubicado frente a la rambla Armenia, entre el barrio Pocitos y el Puerto del Buceo. La obra comenzó en 1959 y finalizó en 1962. Este edificio se destaca por la forma de sus apoyos en V de doble altura y por su fachada, sobre todo porque en la época no existía en el Uruguay una industria de fachadas de vidrio.

Sichero también construyó el edificio Ciudadela sobre la plaza Independencia.
