Summary[edit]

Description

Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, left, and DOE Assistant Secretary for Environmental Management Inés Triay thanked workers from Environmental Management projects at the Y-12 National Security Complex. During a visit Wednesday, April 20, about two dozen workers met Fleischmann and Triay atop Chestnut Ridge at the site.

In its seven Recovery Act-funded projects, Y-12 has exceeded its goal for small-business procurements, disposed of more than 70,000 cubic meters of waste, created 1,600 jobs and tallied 1.6 million work hours with no lost days.
