Description GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba – Air Force Tech Sgt. Shawn Swiatocha, an Air National Guardsman currently serving with Joint Task Force Guantanamo’s 474th Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron structures team, cuts an access door into the rear panel of a sound booth at U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay’s base chapel, Jan. 17, 2009. Swiatocha, a structural craftsman, has worked on various projects for both the JTF and Naval Station. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe, humane, legal and transparent care and custody of detained enemy combatants, including those convicted by military commission and those ordered released. The JTF conducts intelligence collection, analysis and dissemination for the protection of detainees and personnel working in JTF Guantanamo facilities and in support of the Global War on Terror. JTF Guantanamo provides support to the Office of Military Commissions, to law enforcement and to war crimes investigations.
