Description
English: USS MAKIN ISLAND, Pacific Ocean (October 30, 2016) – A Marine with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit performs a battlesight zero on his M16A4 service rifle from the hangar bay of the USS Makin Island (LHD 8), while afloat in the Pacific Ocean, October 30, 2016. Before conducting further live-fire operations, it’s crucial to obtain an accurate battlesight zero to ensure that the rifle, optic, and infrared laser sight are in proper working order and alignment.
