Summary[edit]

Description
English: Actively used, hand-dug well located in Ouelessebougou, Mali, Africa. The well is cased with concrete rings (see associated photograph for view into the well), approximately 1.2 m in diameter and approximately 12 m deep. The well has been developed at the surface with an elevated top and cover, and rigging to aid extraction of water by hand bailing. Well was constructed in 2002 with funding from Islamic Relief.
