| Description |
English: Water plants in Quy Fen pond There are two principal plant types here. The green spires are Marestail (Hippuris vulgaris), which is nowadays assigned to the plantain family. The white flowers on leafless stalks are Water Violets (Hottonia palustris) which are members of the Primrose family and not related to Dog Violets. I think there's a Water Horsetail as well (just below centre). |
