Description
English: Portrait of musician W. Eugene Page playing mandolin.
Other information
An earlier publication of the image occurred in the magazine The Cadenza 1908 and The Cresendo 1909, which shows the image is definitely older than the 1920 or 1929 publication. Those earlier publications are shown at http://www.harpguitars.net/players/butin/butin.htm under the section W. Eugene Page. The image of The Cresendo shows the name of the photographer, Alex Holmes. Holmes was a St. Paul, Minnesota photographer in the 1890s (according to http://digital.lib.washington.edu/findingaids/view?docId=PriorandNorrisPHColl583.xml and http://www.mnhs.org/people/photographers/H.php).
