Description |
English: The Verla Stone Age rock paintings are painted in 5000 - 1000 B.C. The painting is situated on red granite cliff. The lowest painting is only approx. 1 meter above the water inlet to rapids. The size of the painting is approx. six meters in length and 1,5 meters in height. The painting contains at least eight elks, three human figures, a zigzag line and some damaged, unrecognizable figures. The rock was painted with red ochre. The paint is preseved by the protective film of silicone dioxide dissolved from the rock. |
