| Description |
English: April 22: It was bound to happen eventually. I've had a pretty good run, baking on a weekly basis for nearly nine months. Despite countless screw-ups, this is my first bread that I considered inedible. The problem? Hard lumps in the dough, the result of trying to employ a "soaker" for the whole wheat flour without using enough water. So that's a lesson learned. And actually the bread was tasty enough, especially if you toasted it, but still I'm chalking this one up as a big failure. Worse even than the "too much cumin" loaf.
Did I mention I was feverish when I made this? |
