English: Virginia Beach, Va. (May 26, 2006) - Commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, Rear Adm. Donald Bullard presents the Bronze Star with Combat Distinguishing Device to Chief Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Paul J. Darga, of Lansing, Mich., at a ceremony aboard Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Va. One Silver Star and 14 Bronze Stars, all of which included the Combat Distinguishing Device, were given to Sailors from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Two (EODMU-2) in support of the global war on terrorism. Tragically on August 22, 2006, Chief Darga was killed by an improvised explosive device while responding to a previous strike.
