English: Persian Gulf (June 11, 2005) - Squadron troubleshooters give the signal that an F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Strike Fighter Squadron one Five Four (VFA-154), is safe for launch from the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is conducting operations in support of multi-national forces in Iraq and maritime security operations in the Persian Gulf.
