PHILADELPHIA (March 1, 2014) Thousands of Navy and Marine Corps supporters attend the commissioning ceremony of the San Antonio class, amphibious transport dock USS Somerset (LPD 25) March 1. The Somerset's namesake recognizes the heroic actions of the 40 passengers and crew of United Airlines Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001 who sacrificed their lives to thwart a terrorist attack bringing down their would be hijackers and plane in a field in Somerset County, Pa. saving countless innocent lives in the process.
