English: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials return a Tarbosaurus bataar skeleton to the government of Mongolia during a repatriation ceremony May 6, 2013, at a Manhattan hotel in New York. The skeleton was looted from the Gobi Desert and illegally smuggled into the United States. ICE special agents seized the skeleton after it sold at a Manhattan auction for $1.05 million. |
