Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Trough Brook At Quernmore soon enters the Conder. Named as such on the OS Map but not known locally as Trough Brook but simply referred to as 'the beck'. Beck from the Old Norse 'Bekkr' is the more usual name for a small stream hereabouts. However there are a few 'Brooks' in the Bowland area which may have been named as such much later.
