Nederlands: Repronegatief. Het gedeelte van de peddel dat het water ingaat, wordt beschilderd. Het handvat wordt doorgaans versierd met houtsnijwerk. Schilderingen worden vooral gemaakt door de Ndyuka, Paamaka en de Aluku of Boni.
De voorgevel van de achterliggende hut is versierd met zowel schilderingen als houtsnijwerk, onder meer in een vogelmorief (toekan snavel).. Een Marron man is bezig een schildering te maken op een peddel |
