Français : Valentine de Milan venant demander à Charles VI la vengeance du meurtre du duc d’Orléans. Peinture présentée au Salon de Paris de 1833 (no 2285), sous le titre Valentine de Milan et Charles VI, avec la description suivante : Après la mort de son mari, le duc d'Orléans, assassiné par le duc de Bourgogne, Valentine vint plusieurs fois, accompagnée de ses enfants, demander justice au roi. Charles VI, dont la raison était égarée depuis longtemps, ne put, dans ses intervalles lucides, que plaindre Valentine, et lui promettre une vengeance qu'elle n'obtint jamais.
