The "Jumbo" device for the Trinity test.

Government image of the "Jumbo" device for the Trinity test. "Jumbo" was meant to enclose the atomic bomb in order to retain its precious plutonium should it fail to properly detonate. It was later decided to not be used and was simply hoisted in a tower near the bomb test. It survived the detonation and remains at the Trinity site to this day.
