Description
English: Temporary statue of Karel Doorman on the original base of the image of Mr. Gijsbert Karel Count of Hogendorp on the vanvan hogendo Hogendorpsplein at the Schielandshuis. The statue is placed in the context of the fleet week from 13 to 17 August 1945. The image is manufactured by sculptor A. van der Plas on behalf of the Rotterdam authorities. Year: 1945.
Nederlands: Tijdelijk standbeeld van Karel Doorman op de originele sokkel van het beeld van mr. Gijsbert Karel graaf van Hogendorp op het van Hogendorpsplein bij het Schielandshuis. Het standbeeld is geplaatst in het kader van de Vlootweek van 13 tot 17 augustus 1945. Het beeld is vervaardigd door beeldhouwer A. van der Plas in opdracht van de Rotterdamse autoriteiten. Jaar: 1945.
