We enjoyed our turkey, tco.We do think that no place has betterturkeys than the Training School.Each cottage had a Christmas exer-cise and each building was beauti-fully decorated for the occasion.All the boys performed their partswell and we think our exercises wereright cieditable. The last exercisewas held in the Educational Cottageon Christmas night. At this timemedals were given to the boy, inprimary and intermediate depart-ments who had made the highestaverage during the past six months,Jayson Moody of Saluda, N. C. wasawarded the medal in the primarydepartment, and Robert Lloyd, ofWinston-Salem, in the intermediatedepartment. The upper picture gives a small portion of a school-room, which was fitted up on the second story of tlr.e Roth IndustrialBuilding. It answered well our purpose up to this time, but the necessity of larger quarters and better facilities is fast ap-proaching. The institution has enjoyed a splendid sympathy on the part of many who are familiar with our purpose and our ac-complishments, and it is not a far-fetched hope and belief that at no distant day a generous, loving soul will meet, in person,this necessity which is staring us in the face.
