Text Appearing Before Image:
THE LOCH OF THE SWORDS T OCHIEL and Athol were two Scottish■^—^ chieftains, continually at war with eachother. At last they realized how foolish theywere. So they met one day by a little lake in amountain glen. First saluting the man who hadlong been his foe, Lochiel flung his sword far intothe lake. The Earl of Athol then drew his swordand did the same. Then they shook hands andagreed to be friends forever after. The little lakein the mountains where they met is called Lochof the Swords to this day.
Text Appearing After Image:
THE SPEEDY T TP and down the North Sea, cruising among^^ the brown-sailed fishing fleets, sails hisMajestys ship the Speedy, the finest of allthe English ocean policemen. Back and forth, day and night, she goes. By day keen-eyed menwatch from her lookout. And by night her greatsearch-light sweeps the sea in all directions. Any.foreign fishino: boat comino^ within three milesof shore is called upon to explain her presenceat once. And many a time its broad search-lighthas revealed some foreign ship stealing up undercover of the darkness to fill its nets with theforbidden fish. It is no wonder that the English, fishermen in the North Sea feel secure when the Speedy protects their interest.
