Acontia with the fore wings luteous at the base, with spots .and margins of black, the apical portion of the wingsbroadly black, with three rows of white markuigs, the first irregular, the second formed of elongated lunules, andthe third formed of oval spots : the hind wings with the basal half varied with white, black, and luteous, the apicalborder broadly black, with a double row of white spoti, the first larger and oval-shaped, the second smaller androunded, the under side of the wings coloured and marked as above, but rather paler. E.\pansion of the fore wings 4^ inches. Inhabits Sylhet. Unique in the Collection of H. Doubleday, Esq., and commvmicated by E. Doubleday, Esq.,in honour of whom it is named. The plant represented in tlie plate is the Orchidaceous Bolbophyllum macranthum of Lindley, fromSingapore.
