The date is 76 The Painter-Stainers Company. 1560, the second year of Elizabeth. There are 22other spoons with seal tops, six of these are also1560, same date as the last, and a careful inspectionleads us to believe at one time they had similarfigures and shields as the Image spoons, but forsome cause these were removed. Then ten moreseal top spoons, date 1567, engraved with the samequartering of the Companys arms. Still six moreseal top spoons of various dates, marked withnaming and letters, as though they were family orchristening spoons.
