| Description |
The Venetian and Venezia Towers. The lower levels of the Venezia house the parking areas for the resort complex. Entry for vehicles is under the replica Rialto Bridge. And for that matter, pedestrian access to the Venetian from the Strip is via the Rialto Bridge. Unlike the real thing in Italy, however, this Rialto Bridge loses kiosks and gains moving walkways. The Venetian occupies the site of the famous Sands Hotel and Casino, which had been demolished in 1996. Sands' convention center still stands, and remains attached to the Venetian. |
