Description
English: The Sandbagger 'Orient' off Owl's Head, Brooklyn, circa 1885 by William Gay Yorke. Owl's Head was a Brooklyn promontory often used as the start or finish point for races in New York harbour, depending on which way the wind was blowing. Fort Lafayette and Fort Hamilton are in the background.
