| Description |
English: The Roaring Donkey, Albert Street, Swindon The pub is conveniently situated for editorial meetings of the local newspaper, the 'Swindon Advertiser' just out of shot to the left. This was not the pub's original name. That was the 'Rising Sun' as I recall. However, everyone called it the Roaring Donkey for reasons to be established and the owners formally adopted it some years ago. On top of the hill on which Old Town sits, the view in the background is of the area north of Swindon. |
