Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Nave Ceiling.jpg |
English: Following the style in English village churches of the 13th century, the wood ceilings in Christ Church are richly decorated in polychrome. In the nave, hands of blue, green, yellow and red follow the pitch of the steep, open-timbered pine roof Ridge beams and rafters are enriched with the same colors, and black-and-gold rope design outlines the trusses.
A frieze of ten alternating Christian symbols set in shields runs down both sides of the nave where the walls and ceiling meet. |
