Summary[edit]

Description
English: Texas Instruments Calculators SR-10 and TI-30, Tallahassee Automobile Museum, Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida

TI-SR-10 This calculator was introduced only 2 months after the famous TI-2500 Datamath in November 1972.
It is called a 'semi-scientific' since it has the same functionality as a slide rule and is useful for technical applications. The 'SR' stands for slide rule. Its selling price was $149.95. It used a single chip with 4 integrated circuits.

TI-30 It may well be the largest single selling calculator in history. It sold over 15 million from its introduction on 6/13/1976 to 1983. The main reason for its success was its low price, $24.95, which was a third of the competitor's (HP-35) price. This is the first in the series of 28 different TI-30 scientific calculator models. It was powered by a 9 volt battery which was quickly consumed creating an aftermarket for chargers and battery packs designed specifically for the TI-30. A nice vinyl case was available for $3.95.
