Description
English: Buses belonging to the East London Bus & Coach Company Ltd, pictured in Stratford bus station in East London. From left to right, they're:
  • 18460 (reg. LX55 EPJ), a 2005 Alexander Dennis Trident 2 double-decker with Alexander Dennis ALX400 bodywork
  • 17890 (reg. LX03 OPZ), a 2003 Transbus Trident 2 double-decker with Transbus ALX400 bodywork
  • 18272 (reg. LX05 BWE), a 2005 Alexander Dennis Trident 2 double-decker with Alexander Dennis ALX400 bodywork
18460 & 17890 are operating route 262, while 18272 is operating route 158. They were all bought new by the ELBCC when it was a Stagecoach subsidiary, but are pictured here during the time when the ELBCC was owned by the Macquarie Group (East London Bus Group), having been sold in 2006. Less than a month after this picture was taken however, the ELBCC was again a Stagecoach subsidiary, having been sold back to them by Macquarie for a substantial loss. Throughout this time the buses retained the fleetnumbers they were allocated from new in Stagecoach's 5 digit national fleet numbering scheme.
